A few weeks back I saw a popular Instagram comedian post a story about him leaving the house for the first time after being at home for five days. As he walked down the street, he was struck by the beauty of the trees, and the sweet song of the birds singing—things he took for granted or never even noticed before. He (genuinely) swore to change his life as a result of the pandemic quarantine experience.
After now weeks of being home, I can only imagine the level of gratitude this comedian has for so many small things we all often overlook. His Instagram story was a funny, authentic reminder of how we can get so caught up in the hectic urgency of life that we neglect to notice small yet incredible things along the way.
