Creating Live Videos, Podcast Interviews, and Clearing Conversations
A weekly roundup of the latest future of work and conscious leadership news and insights
This week I jumped into the world of live and produced videos. I’ll be posting videos on Instagram, Facebook,YouTube, and LinkedIn. The content of the videos will be similar to the content you read in this newsletter. But I’ll definitely expand upon these newsletters in the videos. Please send questions or comments about the newsletters or videos so we can engage more during the live streams!
I’ll admit I was hesitant at first to dive into video because it can be a bit daunting to do live videos and produce quality content. But after some good coaching and pep talks from trusted friends and mentors, I decided to take the leap. There’s still a learning curve, but I encourage myself that becoming consistent with the videos will improve their quality and help me better connect to those of you who share my passion for creating a better way to work, live, and be happy in this world.
Two New Podcast Conversations
I recently joined the Drinks with Chris podcast where Chris and I discussed a variety of topics including conscious leadership, the future of work, and the importance of personal retreats.
My amazing friend Rachel hosts an inspiring podcast, Pieces of Grit, which I joined for the second time recently. We had a fun conversation about conscious leadership and how to successfully transition to remote work as an employee and leader.
Here is some of the future of work and conscious leadership content I found interesting this week:
15Five published an excellent post about how to have clearing conversations.

This is a conscious leadership way to help resolve conflict. “Curiosity and openness to learn is the priority in this technique—with the participants of the conversation willing to let go of needing to feel ‘right’ in the situation.”
Office Free curated a list of the benefits many remote companies now offer.
Whether you’re a remote team or not, there are some great ideas here for providing a workplace that works for everyone: unlimited vacation days, personal development fund, profit sharing, etc.
GaryVee is well known for his hustle. But in this interview he shares how he’s realized happiness is more than hustling and making money. He shares some conscious leadership ideas about self-awareness and giving without expectation. Like so many people, GaryVee is starting to see the wisdom of a happy life balanced with meaningful work and simply BEing.
The Conversation produced this interesting history of 50 years of remote work predictions.
With the advent of home computers, experts predicted commuting was a thing of the past. In reality, commutes have become increasingly longer. The key hindrances to broader remote work adoption: organization structure and the fact humans are inherently social.
Running Remote is hosting another online conference!
This was the first online conference I attended back in April and loved it! If you want to learn more about building and leading a powerful remote team, I highly recommend attending. I also met amazing people from around the globe focused on building the future of work.
Work happy. Live happy. BE happy.
